Client's obligations
The company is required to inform EVOCERT about:
- legal proceedings related to product safety or legality, or any events that have a significant impact on the operation of the facility,
- any situation in which a regulatory authority requires action to be taken (e.g., by issuing an enforcement notice) due to concerns regarding product safety or legal compliance,
- product recalls that have occurred since the last BRCGS audit,
- significant public incidents involving product safety, or major non-conformities identified by regulatory authorities,
- negative media attention related to product safety,
- a product safety incident that may pose a risk to the consumer,
- serious damage to the facility (e.g., a natural disaster such as a flood or fire),
- change of ownership,
- any significant change in the scope of operations or certification.
Product safety incidents
Clients are required to notify EVOCERT of any product safety incident within 3 business days from the date of the event or the product recall.
The client is obliged to conduct an investigation and provide details to EVOCERT within 21 calendar days of the incident. This should include:
- corrective actions,
- root cause analysis,
- a preventive action plan.
