What requirements is the BRCGS Food Safety v.9 certification based on?
To obtain the BRCGS Food Safety certificate, a company must meet the criteria defined in the international BRCGS Food Safety v.9 standard. At EVOCERT, we conduct conformity assessments based on the current and official requirements and guidelines.
We carry out the certification process based on:
- BRCGS Food Safety v.9 Standard – the main document that defines the requirements, the audit methodology, and the principles for managing and overseeing the certification process, supplemented with additional information and terminology definitions,
- “Position Statements” – containing official interpretations or clarifications that supplement the standard,
- BRCGS Guidelines – supporting documents that facilitate understanding and implementation of the standard,
- Applicable legal regulations in the field of hygiene, food safety, and quality systems.
