REDcert EU – certification process step by step

The company declares its intention to join the REDcert EU system. An application form is completed on the website at https://redcert.eu/RegistrierungSystemAuswahl.aspx and a participation agreement is concluded with the standard owner.

The company contacts EVOCERT in order to complete the application and sign a certification agreement for carrying out the conformity assessment process in accordance with REDcert EU requirements.

The company prepares the required documentation, including: raw material registers, data on greenhouse gas emissions, land management, supply chain information, compliance with sustainability criteria, etc.

The auditor conducts an inspection at the company’s premises (and, if applicable, at production or storage locations), verifying compliance of activities with the requirements of the REDcert EU system.

Based on the audit, a report is prepared. If non-conformities are identified, the company must implement corrective actions before the certificate is issued.

Following a positive conformity assessment, the certification body issues a REDcert EU certificate, which is valid for 12 months. The certificate is available on the REDcert website under the “Certificates” section..

In order to maintain certification, the company is required to undergo annual audits confirming continued compliance with system requirements.
