Codex Alimentarius

Codex Alimentarius provides guidelines for implementing, applying, and maintaining an effective HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) system. HACCP is an internationally recognized food safety management system based on the identification, assessment, and control of health hazards throughout all stages of production, storage, processing, and distribution.


Codex Alimentarius certification is an independent assessment of a company's food safety management system, conducted based on the General Principles of Food Hygiene. Codex Alimentarius Code of Practice, No. CXC 1-1969 rev. 2022 – a document developed by FAO and WHO, which is a global reference point for food quality and safety.

The certification audit carried out by EVOCERT confirms that the food safety management system:

  • has been correctly implemented,
  • functions effectively in daily practice,
  • complies with applicable regulations and Codex Alimentarius requirements,
  • is subject to monitoring, review and improvement.

The certificate issued by EVOCERT is a documentconfirming:

  • effective implementation of the HACCP system,
  • compliance with the principles of the Codex Alimentarius,
